For 20 years, Chaplain Margaret has been working and helping street children in Kenya who come from a difficult street life with the objective of leading them into a responsible and an independent adult life with the hope of a brighter future.

About Street Children

According to UN sources there are up to 150 million street children in the world today. Chased from home by violence, drug and alcohol abuse, the death of a parent, family breakdown, war, natural disaster or simply socioeconomic collapse, many destitute children are forced to eke out a living on the streets, scavenging, begging, hawking in the slums and polluted cities of the developing world.

Various categories of street children exist. There are those who work on the streets as their only means of getting money, those who take refuge on the streets during the day but return to some form of family at night and those who permanently live on the street without a family network. Projects

  • Feeding Program
    The foundation aspires to provide physical nourishment for the children as we endeavour to provide spiritual nourishment as well
  • Clothing Program
    The foundation would greatly appreciate donations for clothes to be redistributed among the street children
  • Central location Project
    This is the core of the foundations objectives, to establish a central location where the children can be meeting so we can engage them in all levels of their lives
  • Educational Project
    This will run in tandem with the central location project where we aspire to empower the children by providing spiritual and academic knowledge
